LEKTRO employees pool funds to aid Katrina hurricane relief.
For one week in September, the 45 employees of LEKTRO, Inc. in Warrenton, Oregon raised funds to benefit victims of Hurricane Katrina. Armed with matching funds from the corporation, LEKTRO president Eric Paulson presented the Clatsop Service Center of the American Red Cross with a check for more than $12,000 at the LEKTRO Factory at 1190 Flightline Drive at the Astoria Regional Airport. Employees worked an additional two hours a day, Monday through Thursday, so they were able to generate the donation without subtracting any monies from their normal paycheck.
On September 16, 2006, a BBQ lunch and a celebration highlighted the crucial efforts of the Red Cross and the generosity of the LEKTRO family.
LEKTRO manufactures electric vehicles for the airline industry and other specialty applications and is currently celebrating their 60th year of operation.
