JBT Corporation to Acquire LEKTRO
JBT & LEKTRO Stronger Together
Warrenton, OR –LEKTRO, Inc. is pleased to announce that an agreement is in place for its acquisition by Chicago-based JBT Corporation (NYSE:JBT).
“We are excited to be part of JBT,” said Eric Paulson, owner of LEKTRO, “together our companies will provide customers a global sales and support presence, a much broader portfolio of products and services, and deeper engineering capabilities for future product development.”
The sale of LEKTRO comes after the local manufacturer has seen a string of record years.
LEKTRO’s family of all-electric towbarless vehicles is a great complement to JBT AeroTech’s line-up of diesel tow tractors and other Ground Support Equipment (GSE) products that include deicers, cargo loaders, belt loaders, mobile stairs, pre-conditioned air carts, and ground power units. Located in Warrenton, Oregon, LEKTRO will join with JBT AeroTech’s GSE business unit to provide an industry leading line up of aviation solutions.
“LEKTRO’s reputation and corporate culture will mesh well with JBT’s. We both put the customer first and we both build great equipment,” noted LEKTRO President Eric Paulson. With the leadership at LEKTRO remaining unchanged, our focus on offering great products and great service will continue under JBT ownership.
After the acquisition is finalized, Eric Paulson will remain at the company’s headquarters in Warrenton, Oregon as General Manager for LEKTRO.
“We have a lot of momentum in the aircraft ground support industry,” said Paulson. “LEKTRO joining JBT will ensure we can continue that.”
