Record Sales Creates More Jobs at LEKTRO

WARRENTON, Oregon – The economy has rebounded beyond pre-recession levels for Warrenton, OR based electric vehicle manufacturer LEKTRO, Inc.
Recently, LEKTRO received several large contracts from airlines, corporations, FBOs and militaries worldwide. The demand for its state-of-the-art electric towbarless aircraft tugs have the company backlogged until the end of the year, and recent orders have equaled some previous year’s entire sales.
“We have received an unprecedented volume of orders,” stated Henry Balensifer, LEKTRO’s communications director. “We are sold out on some models through the end of the year.”
LEKTRO projected steady growth and has been gradually ramping up production, but orders exceeded market indications and forecasts. “The sheer speed and rate of sales this year have surpassed our expectations of a strong year,” added Balensifer.
LEKTRO is planning to add around 20 jobs in the next 30-45 days. But Balensifer says that may just be the beginning. “If sales continue at the levels experienced in the past 30 days, 20 new employees will not be enough.”
LEKTRO is an equal opportunity employer and invites those interested in becoming part of the LEKTRO Team to apply at their headquarters at the Astoria Regional Airport on 1190 SE Flightline Drive.
